Get Ready for FluentBoards 2.0: Your Favorite Project Management Tool Is About to Get Smarter and More Powerful
Hi there! Hold your boards tight!
Your favorite project management tool, FluentBoards, is about to get smarter, faster, and more impactful.
In 2025, we built the foundation.
We listened, learned, and made sure FluentBoards was ready to grow with teams doing real work, every single day.
Now, it’s time to accelerate.
We promised you 2026 would be different, and the journey begins with FluentBoards 2.0. This is our biggest update yet, and every feature in this release is shaped directly by your feedback.
To learn more, let’s dive in and explore what this teaser post reveals about FluentBoards 2.0.
Update: The road to FluentBoards 2.0 is well underway. Along the way, we shipped a special version, FluentBoards 1.95, with some of the most exciting 2.0 features early so you can test them and share feedback before the big release. [21st May, 2026]
First Things First: Why FluentBoards 2.0?
We’ve seen this pattern again and again across our users.
As teams grow, managing work becomes more than just checking off tasks!
What starts with a few simple boards often grows into overlapping projects, recurring workflows, and complex timelines. Over time, keeping everything organized begins to feel like juggling. What once felt easy can slowly start to slow teams down.
Teams rebuild the same boards, manually set up recurring projects, struggle to get a clear view of progress across timelines, and face unnecessary friction when collaborating or migrating from other tools.
And, that’s the challenge we set out to solve with FluentBoards 2.0.
FluentBoards 2.0 is going to be the most feature-rich update we’ve ever shipped. It’s shaped directly by your feedback, your feature requests, and real-world use cases from teams like yours.

Our goal with 2.0 is to deliver the most requested capabilities while keeping the experience clean, familiar, and easy to use, just like it has always been.
With this release, FluentBoards is designed to be more powerful, save significant time in daily operations, and remove friction from workflows that previously required manual effort.
Though the real challenge is ensuring FluentBoards stays simple, we’re hopeful we can stay true to that mission.
Okay, no more small talk. Let’s get straight to the point.
What’s Already Here: FluentBoards 1.95
FluentBoards 2.0 is in full motion. While the team puts the finishing touches on the big release, we could not resist shipping some of the most anticipated features early through FluentBoards 1.95.
Here is a quick snapshot of what’s already in your hands:
- Gantt Chart View: A brand new project view to see your tasks laid out across a timeline, spot overlaps, and understand dependencies at a glance.
- 17 MCP Tools: Connect your preferred LLM and let it take real actions inside your boards, from creating tasks to assigning members and dropping comments.
- Anyone Can Create Boards: Board creation is no longer limited to admins. Any team member with the right permissions can now create their own boards independently.
- Pin Task: Pin your most critical tasks to the top of your board so they stay visible no matter how busy things get.
- And More

What’s Still Coming: FluentBoards 2.0
1.95 is the prequel. Here’s what the full feature release of FluentBoards 2.0 brings to the table.
1. Pre-built Board Templates
One of the most requested features from our users has been pre-built board templates.
Until now, every new project starts from scratch. Many of you shared how helpful it would be to have ready-made templates to kick off projects faster and with more confidence. This is especially valuable for new users getting started with FluentBoards, and for teams looking for inspiration based on proven project structures.

With FluentBoards 2.0, you can expect five pre-built templates at launch, designed to cover common project management needs. Based on your feedback, the template library will continue growing with future releases.

You’ll also get a dedicated dashboard to view, manage, and organize both pre-built and custom templates, making it easier to reuse what already works.
2. Automated Board Creation via FluentCRM
The bond between FluentCRM and FluentBoards is about to get significantly stronger.

Your CRM and project management will finally work in perfect sync. You’ll be able to automatically create a full project board from a selected template using FluentCRM automations.

And, these automations can be triggered by real-world events like a new order being placed, an order status changing, or a form submission being received.
3. Improved Trello Import via API
Already using Trello and considering a switch? FluentBoards 2.0 will make migration easier than ever.
With FluentBoards 2.0, you’ll be able to import your Trello boards directly using the Trello API. Connect your Trello account, select the boards you want to migrate, and FluentBoards handles the rest.
Till now, moving your boards from Trello requires a manual export and import process. It works, but honestly, it is tedious and time-consuming, especially for teams with multiple boards.
4. UI/UX Upgrade: A Cleaner, Faster Experience
FluentBoards 2.0 will bring a thorough redesign of the interface. You can expect a cleaner layout, faster navigation, and an overall experience that feels more polished and intuitive without losing the simplicity that makes FluentBoards easy to love.
5. Weekly Task Summaries: Always Know Where Things Stand
With Weekly Task Summaries, you’ll get a clear, automatic snapshot delivered every week covering what got done, what is still in progress, and what is coming up next. It is the kind of visibility that keeps teams aligned without anyone having to chase updates or sit through status meetings.
6. AI-Powered Project Management: Something Bigger Is Coming
We are not ready to spill everything just yet. But let’s just say FluentBoards 2.0 is going to make your projects a lot smarter. The team is working on something exciting on the AI front, and it goes well beyond what 1.95 introduced. Stay tuned.
7. Bulk Move Tasks to Board
Managing large projects often means reorganizing work across multiple boards. With Bulk Move Tasks, you can move multiple tasks between boards in a single action, making large-scale project reorganization significantly faster and less painful.
8. Customizable Business Logo
Whether you are running an agency or managing client projects, FluentBoards 2.0 will let you brand your FluentBoards workspace with your own logo for a more professional and personalized experience.
Get Ready for a More Capable FluentBoards
Yes, that’s a wrap… almost.
We can’t wait to bring FluentBoards 2.0 to you and see how it will make your day-to-day workflow faster, smoother, and more efficient.
Our team is putting the final touches and refining a few last details, so very soon you’ll have a version of FluentBoards that is more capable, more powerful, and more impactful.
