Who’s Behind FluentBoards?

Let’s hit rewind—back to 2015!

Our journey started in 2015 as a technical service provider. We were lucky to build a team full of passionate problem-solvers, people who didn’t shy away from challenges.

Very soon, solving problems became our favorite thing to do!

And, curiosity kept pushing us.

We knew we wanted to do more—something that brought lasting value to the WordPress community.

That’s when we shifted our focus to plugin development.

And what a ride it’s been!

Fast forward to today, we’ve built over ten powerful WordPress plugins, helping more than one million businesses grow and thrive every single day.

Now, in 2024, we’re introducing our latest creation: FluentBoards.

But how did the idea come to life? Let’s dive into the story.

The Birth of FluentBoards!

With hundreds of project management tools out there, why build another?

Great question!

Well, we didn’t build this just for the sake of it.

There were strong reasons behind the creation of this plugin, reasons rooted in our own experience.

Like hundreds of other businesses, we’ve been running our operations on WordPress since day one.

We started with a tiny team of 4–5 people.

But things have changed a lot. Especially over the last 2–3 years.

Our business has grown, and so has our team. Today, we’re proud to have a team of 100+ members.

At that time, we were using Trello.

But since their pricing is member-based, managing a team of this size with multiple ongoing projects quickly became expensive, and the cost kept climbing!

Besides, to use Trello, we had to leave our WordPress dashboard every time. And that was a real hassle!

So, we knew it was time to switch.

Naturally, we started looking for a project management solution that could bring order to our growing operations, without breaking the bank.

Yes, there were plenty of solid SAAS tools in the market, packed with features!

But unfortunately, most of them came with the exact issues we were hoping to leave behind:

• They weren’t made for WordPress users
• The pricing was outrageous

We tried the project management plugins for WordPress out there, too.

But most either lacked essential features, had a clunky interface, or simply didn’t play well with the rest of our plugin stack.

So we thought—why not build the tool we’ve always wanted?

Long Story Short: Why We Built It?

Throughout the 9-year journey of WPManageNinja, one thing has remained constant!

We’ve never stopped asking “why”!

And here are all the whys that made FluentBoards a reality –

1. FluentBoards is the solution we needed

We’ve already said it: FluentBoards wasn’t just built for you. It was built for us, too.

When you’re managing a team of 120+ people with dozens of ongoing projects, an efficient project management tool isn’t just helpful—it’s absolutely essential.

Ironically, though, most tools on the market just didn’t work for us!

• Most tools are SaaS-based, meaning we had to leave our WordPress dashboard to manage projects.

• WordPress plugins fell short! They either lacked essential features or were overloaded with things we didn’t need.

• Most tools had high costs! Besides, scalability was restricted as per-user pricing models punished growth.

• Managing projects outside WordPress always made us feel like we were risking data loss.
