Meet FluentRoadmap: The Smarter Way to Build, Manage, and Share Your Public Roadmaps in WordPress
We know you already have a good strategy and are committed to delivering the best results.
Yet, even with the best intentions, things can still go wrong!
Misunderstandings happen, priorities get overlooked, and it’s easy for stakeholders, or even team members, to miss the effort you’re putting in every day.
Why?
Most of the time, it’s because:
- Your workflow isn’t fully transparent
- Not everyone involved is aligned with the same goals
- End users, clients, or other stakeholders aren’t aware of the work happening behind the scenes
The good news?
Well, the days of miscommunications, confusion, and frustration are over!
Introducing FluentRoadmap, a public roadmap sharing add-on for FluentBoards designed to bring clarity, alignment, and visibility to every project. It helps you share your roadmap publicly, and keep all stakeholders, from team members to clients and end users, on the same page.

First Things First: What is a Public Roadmap?
You probably already have an idea of what a roadmap is, but let’s quickly recap before we dive into FluentRoadmap!
A roadmap is essentially a visual tool that aligns everyone involved in a project, helping teams and stakeholders move forward together toward a common goal.
Still a bit abstract?
Well, let’s make it concrete with a real-life example!
Let’s say you run a software business. Naturally, you have a detailed plan and strategy for where you want your software to be after a certain period of time. But does this solely depend on you?
Undoubtedly, it was your idea to build this product, and you developed it your way. But at the end of the day, it’s the users who use it, right?
That’s why keeping them aligned with your plans and listening to their needs is key to ensuring your software’s long-term success.
So what do you do now?
You share your roadmap publicly with your users so they can see what’s happening behind the scenes, which features are planned next, and what has already been delivered.
Plus, with a public roadmap, users can suggest specific features, and others can upvote ideas they find useful. Meanwhile, your team gets a clear picture of what to prioritize next based on real user feedback.
Introducing FluentRoadmap: What It Is and How It Helps
FluentRoadmap is an add-on to FluentBoards that brings all project stakeholders onto the same page!
It provides everyone involved in a project with a bird’s eye view of everything, including what your users are asking for, where you stand as a project team or company at this moment, which aspects you are prioritizing, and where you plan to go by the end of the project.
And, when FluentRoadmap is integrated with FluentBoards, it transforms from just a simple project management tool into a dynamic tool that facilitates both project and product management!
Important Info: You’ll need FluentBoards Pro to use this feature!
How does FluentRoadmap help?
Here’s how FluentRoadmap helps you with both project and product management:
- Strategic clarity: Clearly define and communicate strategic project goals to everyone involved
- Objective alignment: Ensure both you and your clients stay aligned with the objectives of projects, teams, and portfolios
- Accountability and transparency: Foster accountability and transparency throughout your entire project management or product management process
- Two-way communication and collaboration: Improve collaboration and communication between all project stakeholders (clients and team)
- Data-driven prioritization: Identify what’s most important and keep your customers’ needs front and center
- Seamless coordination: Facilitate better coordination among participants both within and outside the organization
How We Use FluentRoadmap Every Day to Deliver on Our Promises
“FluentBoards is designed by you, and developed by us!”
Well, that’s the promise we made when we first brought FluentBoards to you.
Why?
Because at the end of the day, you are the ones using FluentBoards, and it should always be you who decides which features you truly need, not us guessing and overloading you with unnecessary features (unfortunately, that’s exactly what most project management tools do)!
And, thanks god, we had FluentRoadmap!
From beta testing until today, it has helped us stay true to our promises.

The very day we launched FluentBoards publicly, we shared our roadmap with our users too. They started adding feature requests, and based on the number of upvotes, we prioritized and acted.
In fact, every update we’ve rolled out since day one has been shaped by these requests.
And the result?
Well, comments like this one say it all:

A little context: FluentBoards isn’t the first WPManageNinja team to use this approach. We first tested it with FluentBooking, and it worked like magic! It eliminated communication gaps and brought clarity, transparency, and accountability to our process. Since then, we’ve applied the same approach to all our products.
How FluentRoadmap Works?
For better understanding, let’s get back to our old example: you run a software company!
Wouldn’t it be great if you could bring your users on the same page too and let them design the software in their own way?
Well, with FluentRoadmap, that’s very much possible.
Let’s see how!
Start by incorporating FluentRoadmap with FluentBoards.
To do so, go to the ‘Settings Dashboard’ and select the ‘Feature and Module’ option.
Now, scroll down a bit and select and install FluentRoadmap from the ‘Recommended Plugins and Addons’ section.
Once you have successfully installed ‘FluentRoadmap,’ it’ll automatically integrate with FluentBoards!
Now it’s time to create your first roadmap and configure the necessary settings.
To do so, click on the ‘Boards‘ option at the top of the scroll bar and then hit the ‘Add Board‘ button!

And here comes the tricky part!
You will see a new checkbox named ‘Type Roadmap‘ under the description box. Once you check the box, it will reveal four predefined stages in front of you that you can edit at any time.

Now go ahead and give your board a name. Add a brief description and hit the save button!
And, your newly created roadmap will look like this!

Now you are ready to design your roadmap exactly the way you want!
But before you proceed, I want you to keep an important aspect in mind!
FluentRoadmap lets you decide which stages to showcase publicly and which to keep private. If you look closely beside the name of the stages, you’ll see two types of tags: ‘Public‘ and ‘Admin Only‘.
To make any of these stages private, click on the ‘Settings Icon’ beside the stage and select the ‘Make This Stage Admin Only’ option.

Oh! We’re now all set to go!
It’s time to share this roadmap with your customers!
To do so, click on the ‘info icon‘ at the top or click on the ‘three dots‘ on the right side of the dashboard.

And a screen will appear like this!

Decide which page you want to showcase this roadmap on. Copy the shortcode from here!
You can only showcase the same roadmap on one page at a time
Besides, if you want to send an email to the idea submitter, commenters, and, upvoters when the stage is changed, don’t forget to tick the checkbox!
Now go and paste the code on the intended page! And it will look like this!

So, your clients can now easily add their feature requests.
They can also add comments and upvote specific features to increase their priority!

And no need to mention, that once anyone adds a feature request, it will automatically be added to your roadmap board.

Additionally, you’ll be able to set priorities for features based on filters like the number of upvotes or comments!

See?
You, your team members, and your clients are all on the same page, making clarity, transparency, and accountability a breeze!
