After a spooktacular Halloween deal, our record-breaking Black Friday season, and with the sweet sound of Christmas bells ringing (alongside our Christmas Day deal), the FluentBoards team is beyond thrilled to step into 2025. 

It all started on June 3, 2024, just six months ago! Yet, what a journey it’s been! The love, support, and trust we’ve received in this short time have been nothing short of amazing.

Our hearts are full—full of gratitude, achievement, and an unstoppable drive to achieve even more.

And here’s the truth: YOU made this possible. Every milestone we hit, every achievement we unlocked, it’s all you. Thank you!

Let’s take a quick walk down memory lane to see what we’ve achieved together and what exciting things waiting for us in 2025.

How It All Started?

Well, we’ve shared the story behind FluentBoards many times before, even published a detailed blog on it. But still, wouldn’t it be great to revisit where it all began before diving into our year-end (or, to be exact, six-month) review?

So, here’s how it all started:

• We (at WPManageNinja) have been FluentBoards alongside Trello as our internal project management tools since June 2023. Why both? Well, while FluentBoards handled things within WordPress, Trello forced us to switch platforms constantly. And let’s face it, that wasn’t exactly productive.

• When Trello announced a 10-member limit on its free version, the bell rang for us! With a team of 120+ members, this decision would surely bring unnecessary expenses to the table. So, we asked ourselves: Why not shift completely to FluentBoards and turn it into our very own “WordPress-native Trello”?

• But wait! Was it just us struggling with platform switching and rising costs? The moment we made the switch, we realized the answer: No, we weren’t alone! Many in the WordPress community were in the same boat. That’s when we made a bold decision: Why not offer this tool to the entire WordPress community?

• Before launching publicly, we wanted real feedback. After all, a project management tool is one of the most critical tools for any business. So, instead of overloading it with unnecessary features born from our own assumptions, we opened FluentBoards for beta testing in March 2024.

• And the response? Phenomenal! Over 1,000 beta testers eagerly joined our exclusive community (built using FluentCommunity!) and got their hands on the tool. Over the next three months, they gave us invaluable feedback, suggested tons of features, and pushed us to design a tool truly tailored to real user needs.

• Within those three months, we rolled out 10 major product updates and launched over 20 brand-new features!

• Finally, on June 3rd, 2024, after countless tweaks, refinements, and a whole lot of love, FluentBoards, the simplest project management tool, went live for everyone!

And, how was the rest of the journey?

Well, what happened next is nothing short of incredible! Let’s unfold the journey together!

Yes, you guessed it right! FluentBoards is right there—proudly at the top, the very first search result!

For a plugin that’s just six months old, isn’t that something to be proud of?

By surpassing 719 other project management plugins, including big names that have been around for nearly a decade, it’s clear that our mission to offer the WordPress community a simple, dynamic project management solution is making a real impact!

And, not gonna lie, this also comes with the pressure of maintaining the trust, love, and faith you’ve placed in us. However, we’re confident that with your continued support, we’ll overcome every challenge and grow even stronger—together!

In addition, to support your project management journey and help you get the most out of FluentBoards, we have stayed active and available on our social channels while keeping you informed with timely and helpful emails.

Over the past six months, we have published 20+ blog posts, including a mix of informational and product-focused content, to ensure you can maximize FluentBoards’ potential and stay updated on the fundamentals of project management. WordPress and its community have given us so much, and whenever we get a chance to give back to this amazing platform and its people, we never hesitate to seize it with both hands.

And WordCamps? Well, we absolutely love attending them—talking about WordPress, enjoying delicious food, and, of course, collecting swags!

2024 was no different. Our team flew to Taiwan to attend WordCamp Asia and to Italy for WordCamp Europe.

We were also proud to sponsor WordCamp Sylhet and WordCamp Malaysia, with several of our team members actively serving on the organizing team for WordCamp Sylhet.

As for parties, we like to think we’re pretty great at those too. Whether it’s exploring fancy restaurants, devouring pizzas, or going on team outings and day trips, we always bring our A-game.

And as we look forward to 2025, we’re confident it’s going to be even more exciting. We’ll work hard and party even harder!

What’s coming next? 

Yes, we know—2025 is going to be even more challenging for us. After an incredibly successful first six months, one thing is certain: the pressure of meeting expectations and the drive to surpass our achievements will be immense.

But as a team, we are wholeheartedly ready to embrace these challenges with open arms. Our marketing team is gearing up to be more impactful, our support team is preparing to be even faster and more responsive, and the Dev team?
