FluentBoards 1.45: CSV Export/Import, Task Label Customization, RTL Support Provided & More!

Hello, good people! This is Shahjahan Jewel, back with another exciting FluentBoards update!

And, what makes this update extra special?

Well, it’s yet another ‘you asked, we delivered‘ release, packed with some of your most requested features that have been in the queue for a while.

With this update, we’ve taken another significant step toward fulfilling our promise: a dynamic yet simple project management tool, designed by you, developed by us!

CSV Export & Import

First things first – apologies for keeping you waiting! However, it’s better late than never!

In this update, we’ve finally delivered the CSV export & import feature you’ve been asking for a long time!

Previously, FluentBoards only allowed exporting and importing boards in JSON format. But with this update, migration has become even easier and smoother.

From now on, you can import any FluentBoards board in CSV format.

Additionally, if you want to migrate your projects from other project management platforms (Notion, ClickUp, etc.), you can do it now in just a few clicks.

To do so, simply go to your All Boards dashboard, click on the three dots next to the ‘Add Board’ button, and select ‘Import From CSV’.

Map your data to ensure everything stays organized!

Click the ‘Import Board’ button and here you go! 

Note: Before importing data from another platform, make sure the CSV file you downloaded is structured correctly.

Custom Labels Support in Labels

Here comes another ‘You asked, we delivered’ feature!

In the last update, we introduced task cover customization, and now we’re taking board label customization to the next level.

Previously, board labels were limited to a set of predefined colors.

But from now on, you can choose any color you want, allowing you to go limitless and stay true to your brand colors!

Oho! Your task labels will now be more visually unique and meaningful than ever!

Added Frontend Portal Link in admin bar for quick access

This feature is inspired by a recent request from our community group!

From now on, you can easily access your FluentBoards frontend portal from anywhere on your dashboard. If the frontend portal is enabled, simply hover over the home icon, and you’ll see a direct link to your frontend portal.

So, whether you’re working on a page, post, or any other plugin, jumping back to your project portal is now super simple!

Note: We’re planning to extend this feature to the website frontend too, so you won’t need to enter the website dashboard every time to access your portal. Stay tuned — maybe in the next update!

A Couple of New Features for FluentRoadmap

As you know, FluentBoards offers a free public roadmap-sharing add-on, FluentRoadmap, to help you bring everyone to the same table. And with this update, collaboration, and communication with stakeholders have become even more powerful

1. FluentCRM integration for roadmap ideas

From now on, when a user submits an idea to your roadmap, you can directly add them to any predefined contact list in FluentCRM!

And how does this help?

Well, this unlocks countless opportunities to engage them further and make them feel valued. By leveraging FluentCRM’s automation, email campaigns, and other dynamic features, you can create connections that weren’t possible before!

However, to enable this feature, first go to the ‘Settings’ dashboard and open the ‘Roadmap’ option. You’ll see a new option called ‘Add new users to FluentCRM when an idea is submitted’.

Once you check this box, two new options will unfold. Simply select which tag you want to assign or which contact list you want to add them to (you can choose either or both), and save the settings.

That’s it! 

Whenever someone submits an idea to your roadmap, they will automatically be added to your FluentCRM contact lists.

2. Easily transition ideas across stages

Moving ideas between stages is now easier than ever!

Whenever someone submits an idea to your roadmap, you can change its stage directly from the front end! Yes, no need to go to the backend anymore!

Just open the idea, click on the dropdown icon beside the stage, select the stage you want, and that’s it! The idea will move to the new stage instantly.

RTL(Right-to-Left) Support provided

Here comes another great news!

FluentBoards now supports right-to-left (RTL) language formats!

So, if your website uses languages like Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, or any other RTL language, you can still enjoy a seamless project management experience without any limitations.

Bug Fixes & Improvements

As you know, at FluentBoards, progress is all about balancing innovation with continuous improvement.
