FluentBoards Year in Review: How We Grew, Evolved, and Set the Stage for an Even Bigger 2026
Time flies.
And it’s funny how a year can feel both long and suddenly over.
When we started 2025, we knew this would be a year full of reviews, feedback, and, of course, feature requests.
But we made a conscious decision not to rush.
Instead of chasing big releases right away, we chose to move steadily and strategically. We wanted to build a strong base that would allow FluentBoards to scale smoothly and confidently in the future.
Now, as the calendar flips toward the end of the year, we must say: we quietly achieved more in 2025 than we expected!
And none of it would have been possible without you.
Let’s look back at everything we achieved together this year!

How Was 2025 for FluentBoards in a Nutshell?
2025 marked a year of steady and meaningful growth for FluentBoards, both as a product and as a team! What started as a simple idea to make project management easier has grown into a tool trusted by teams managing real work every day.
Here’s a quick snapshot of what we achieved this year:
A Major Milestone: 5,000+ Active Installations
As we’ve shared many times before, FluentBoards was built for our own internal project management needs. We were tired of the high pricing and unnecessary complexity of the tools we were using at the time.
So in June 2024, when we stepped into an already crowded project management space, our mindset was clear and deliberate.
We wanted to build a tool that:
- Is simple and comes with almost zero learning curve
- Doesn’t create unnecessary limits on members, projects, or file sharing
- Remains affordable for growing teams
Still, we had our doubts!
With so many capable alternatives available, we often asked ourselves: who would actually choose FluentBoards?
Well, FluentBoards’ simplicity echoed louder than we expected!
Today, more than 5,000 businesses use FluentBoards to manage their project chaos, making it one of the fastest-growing WordPress project management plugins.
On top of that, total product downloads have already crossed 70,000!
Once again, thank you! You made all of this possible.

Over 500 Support Tickets Resolved: Our Support Team Rocked Again
Developers build great tools. Marketers bring them to your door.
But who makes users stay, and keep coming back?
Definitely, the support team!
And yes, we’re incredibly proud of ours.
At FluentBoards, we consider the support team as the most vital part of our entire system, and they’ve consistently lived up to that belief.
2025 was no exception.
This year alone, our support team resolved 500+ support tickets with an impressive 99% success rate.
Insane and deeply appreciated.

Alongside product development, we maintained close connections with our community through active social channels and timely email updates, ensuring help was always within reach.

We also released 26 YouTube videos, designed to make learning FluentBoards easier and more practical.
And for those just getting started, the team went a step further by creating a dedicated FluentBoards video course, ensuring a smooth and confident onboarding experience from day one.
Now, as we move forward, our focus is clear. We want to create content that’s even more practical, more user-driven, and more impactful for teams managing real work every day.

A Growing Community of 3,000+ FluentBoards Users

Alongside the launch of FluentBoards, we built a dedicated user community using our own plugin, FluentCommunity. Today, that community has grown to more than 3,000 members.
This community is special because of its energy!
Conversations are always happening. Ideas are exchanged freely. Feature requests turn into real discussions, problems get solved collaboratively, and feedback flows directly into shaping the future of FluentBoards.
And, no matter how we try to put it into words, it never feels enough.
But still, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Giving Back to the Community
WordPress and its community have given us so much. Whenever we get the opportunity to give something back to this incredible ecosystem and its people, we embrace it wholeheartedly.

And WordCamps?
Well, we absolutely love them. Talking all things WordPress, meeting familiar faces and new ones, enjoying great food, and of course, collecting some memorable swag.

This year, our team traveled to Malaysia for WordCamp Malaysia and to Thailand for WordCamp Thailand, representing FluentBoards and connecting with the wider WordPress community we’re proud to be part of.
Top Ten Most Requested Features Added to FluentBoards in 2025
From our early beta testing days to now, FluentBoards has continued to evolve based on your feature requests. 2025 followed the same path, with a clear goal of addressing as many roadmap requests as possible.
Note: As mentioned earlier, our focus this year was on stability, sustainability, and strengthening the foundation. We prioritized fine-tuning the core experience before rolling out major features, so a few of the most upvoted requests weren’t shipped. Rest assured, they’re either in planning or active development and will be coming soon.
Every feature we delivered this year came either from your requests on our roadmap or from discussions in our community group. And here are the top ten requested features we successfully delivered:
1. Board Folderization for Better Project Management

Until now, this was the most upvoted feature on our roadmap, and we have successfully delivered it. This feature helps you categorize projects into folders for better clarity and structure.
2. CSV Export & Import

Another vital and highly requested feature we delivered this year is board export and import in CSV format. With this in place, you can seamlessly move your projects in or out of FluentBoards.
3. More External Storage Integration

Previously, external storage options were limited to Cloudflare R2 and Amazon S3. Based on your requests, we’ve added two more storage providers this year: Backblaze and DigitalOcean Spaces.
4. Pin Boards to Main Nav / Quick Access for Frequently Used Boards

After being in the planning stage, the highly requested Pinned Boards feature was finally launched this year.
5. Outgoing Webhooks

To further empower FluentBoards as the central hub of your workflow, we introduced Outgoing Webhooks this year. This allows you to automatically push updates from FluentBoards and connect your boards and tasks with your favorite tools like Slack, Discord, Zapier, and more.
6. Subtask Group Like Trello Checklist

Another small but impactful feature, Subtask Groups, went live this year. Instead of displaying all subtasks in a single long list under a parent task, you can now organize them into logical groups such as Research, Design, Review, or any custom label that fits your workflow.
7. Task Cloning

As we plan the future of FluentBoards, automation is a key part of our vision, and the task cloning feature is one of many more to come. This feature lets you duplicate any task and easily customize it, saving time and eliminating the hassle of creating everything from the ground up.
8. New Project View: Table View

This year, we introduced a brand-new project view, Table View, to make project planning and execution in FluentBoards even smoother and more efficient. Previously, you had three project view options to choose from: Kanban, Calendar, and List.
9. Task and Subtask Reminder

FluentBoards email notifications became smarter and more powerful this year with the introduction of Task and Subtask Reminders. With this feature, you can choose to receive notifications exactly when you need them—30 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, or even 1 week before the due date.
10. Task Watcher for Enhanced Stakeholder Management

This feature allows you to add anyone to a task as a watcher, keeping them in the loop with all task updates and notifications, without giving them the ability to make changes to the task.
Bonus: Basic Reporting Is Free for All

Team is working actively on advanced reporting, and we hope you’ll see notable improvements soon. In the meantime, based on user requests, we’ve made basic reporting completely free for everyone, which was previously available only in the premium version.
Got a feature in mind?
Don’t forget to submit it to our roadmap!
A Project Management Tool Is Never “Done”
That’s everything we achieved in 2025, in a nutshell.
Oh, what a year it has been!
However, before we turn the page, we want to assure you that 2026 will be even more exciting!
In 2025, FluentBoards focused on strengthening its foundation. In 2026, we plan to accelerate, grow, and deliver features that create even greater impact.
