FluentBoards 1.3: Recurring Tasks, Roadmap Reports, External Storage Provider & 5 Other Exciting Features!

Hello everyone! This is Shahjahan Jewel, CEO of WPManageNinja, back with another exciting update. And guess what?

This time, it’s bigger than before—actually, bigger than ever!

We’ve added a ton of new features (including a top-voted one) and made some key improvements, and I’m excited to share all of it with you!

But before we dive in, here’s a quick reminder: We’re still offering FluentBoards LTD at a discounted price, which will end on 1st October. So if you haven’t upgraded yet, now’s the time!

Alright, no more suspense—let me walk you through what’s new in FluentBoards.

Recurring Task

Drumroll! Here we go!

Yes, it’s Recurring Tasks—one of the most upvoted features on our roadmap—and we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve finally made it happen!

From now on, project management will be simpler, more hassle-free, and less time-consuming. Whether it’s a regular weekly meeting or a task that repeats after a specific period, there’s no need to open separate tasks manually.

Just enable the recurring option, and everything runs on autopilot!

To enable this option, open the task you want to set as recurring, then scroll down and select the ‘Repeat Task’ option.

Set the necessary options—choose how often you want to repeat the task (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly), pick the time, and you’re good to go! Your task will now repeat exactly the way you want.

But before hitting the Set button, make sure to check the box above it based on your needs. If you don’t select the ‘Create a task when repeating’ option, it won’t create a new task—it will just update the due date.

Note: This feature is still ‘Experimental’, and we’re committed to shaping it around your needs. We encourage you to try it and share your feedback in our community.

Roadmap Report

Execution relies heavily on insights! Without tracking your current status, comparing it to where you should be, and adjusting accordingly, no project can achieve its final goal.

That’s why we’ve introduced detailed reporting for Roadmaps.

To access the report, simply open any of your Roadmap boards, go to the ‘About This Board’ and click ‘View Roadmap Report‘!

It will lead you to a comprehensive report dashboard, like this:

External Storage Provider (Cloudflare R2, Amazon S3)

‘Host your data yourself’ is undoubtedly one of the prime selling points of FluentBoards! But what if you want to host your data elsewhere?

In fact, when you’re running multiple projects with large attachments, or if you want to preserve your server space, sometimes this feature becomes a must-have.

And the good news is, we’ve delivered it in this update.

To explore this feature, head to your settings dashboard and select ‘Features & Modules’. There, you’ll find a new option called ‘Media Storage’!

Click the Settings button and choose where you want to store your media files.

Complete the setup, and your media will be stored on the platform of your choice from now on.

Note: Currently, we offer ‘Cloudflare R2‘ and ‘Amazon S3‘ as storage options. However, many more are in the pipeline, and we plan to deliver additional choices soon!

Unread Notification Count in Task

Notifications are crucial for keeping everything on track, but what if the total number of notifications gives you a panic attack?

Going through all those notifications and figuring out which one came from which board or task can be a real pain, right?

Well, the days of getting buried under notifications are over! 

Now, it’s time to track more effectively, know exactly which task each notification is coming from, and act accordingly.

Board Archive Feature

You hit the ‘Yes’ button, and the board is gone forever!

While there were archive options for tasks and stages, there wasn’t one for boards—until now.

No worries! In this update, we’ve fixed that. Just like stages and tasks, you can now archive boards too.

And you’ll find all your archived boards here.

Modifiable Time Track Logs

FluentBoards allows you to manually log your time, so you can keep track of your contributions and see how much time you’ve invested in any project.

However, since time is entered manually, mistakes can happen. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a way to fix these errors—until now!

Well, not anymore! You can now edit the time you initially logged.

New Filter Option (Custom Field)

Making project management simple and easy is our top priority. We believe that better scannability leads to better accountability while keeping things simple.

That’s why we’re continuously enhancing our filter options to make them as dynamic as possible. With this update, we’re taking another step forward.

Previously, you could filter tasks by labels, assignees, stages, and due dates. Now, you can filter using custom fields too!

Dynamic Paste Feature

Copy any link—whether it’s an image, PDF, or anything else—and paste it into any task.

It will automatically be added as an attachment.

Bug Fixes & Improvements 

At FluentBoards, progress isn’t just about adding cool new features. It’s about making sure everything works smoothly for you!

While we’re excited to bring you new features, we’re also committed to fixing any issues along the way.

And, just like all our previous updates, we’ve focused on bug fixes and improvements in this one too!
